Covina police were called to the “1100 block of East Wanamaker Drive” afternoon about 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 31st, on reports of multiple shots fired and found the victim on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, Sgt. David Rodriguez said.
The victim who was shot, identified by coroner’s officials as Daniel Sisneros, later died at Pomona Valley Hospital, Rodriguez said. The city of residence of the victim still not known.
One of the victim’s relatives; his brother, identified by police as Rick Ortega (he is 26 years old) of Pomona, was arrested for being involved in the shooting, Rodriguez said, but his role in the shooting wasn’t clear at this time.

A handgun and shell casings were found at the scene, Rodriguez said. A picture showed many police markers on the sidewalk.
Ortega has since been released from jail after posting $50,000 bond, according to inmate records.
